A mascot created to share the charm of SEIKO NPC CORPORATION with the world—that’s “Shiobara HANZOU,” often abbreviated to HANZOU.
It was born from an internal open contest based on the concept of valuing the unique qualities of SEIKO NPC CORPORATION.

It’s motif is the people working at the production site. At the production site, workers are required to wear clean clothing, which gives the impression of “just like a ninja,” and that’s how our ninja-inspired character was born!

The name “Shiobara HANZOU” was created with two meanings in mind.
One is “Shiobara” taken from the Shiobara hot springs area,
which has a deep connection with NPC, and the other is “han”
taken from “han-dotai,” the Japanese translation of semiconductors.
The wafer on its head turns into a ninja star, and the package devices
are used like caltrops, HANZOU has some unique tricks... or maybe not?!
