Quality Policy at Seiko NPC
Seiko NPC's quality policy can be summed up as follows: superb quality, satisfied customers, trustworthy products, service, and social contribution.
Seiko NPC is continuing its long tradition of improved products that customers can use with confidence. To maintain this tradition, the company is establishing a complete quality assurance system that ranges from product planning to customer delivery and that progresses from development through to mass production.
Quality Management System
Seiko NPC manages all work processes with a quality management system based on ISO 9001. In addition, for its customers of in-vehicle components, it applies ISO/TS16949 to further improve product quality control.
ISO9001
Developed by the International Organization of Standardization (ISO), ISO9001 is an international standard for controlling and assuring quality. The standard was significantly updated in 2000 with additional requirements. Seiko NPC received certification under the original standard in 1994 and under the 2000 version in 2002.
ISO/TS16949
ISO/TS16949 is an uniform international standard based on the ISO9000 series to which items specific to the automobile industry have been added. Seiko NPC acquired certification under ISO/TS16949 in February 2006.
