Seiko NPC Receives ISO/TS 16949 Certification

On February 13, 2006, Seiko NPC Corporation* received certification under ISO/TS 16949:2002. ISO/TS 16949:2002 is a unifying international standard and adds requirements specific to the automobile industry on the basis of the ISO 9000 series of international of standards for quality control and quality assurance
Seiko NPC is continuing its long tradition of superb products that customers can use with confidence to achieve the optimum in product development and process control.
Since 1994, when the company obtained ISO 9001 certification, it has also acquired certification under the QS-9000 quality standard for improving quality validation management required by the American Big Three automobile companies. And we are now pleased to have also received certification under ISO/TS 16949:2002, the successor standard to QS-9000, and to have completed the transition from QS-9000 to ISO/TS 16949:2002.
Seiko NPC will continue to focus on quality, customer satisfaction and product reliability as well as on providing service and working to benefit society and the customer.
