The World's First 1.8V Crystal Oscillator Module ICs, CF5011 series Sample Shipping Starts
Nippon Precision Circuits Inc. (NPC) announces the development of CF5011 series, the world's first 1.8V Crystal oscillator module IC, and its sample shipping.
The CF5011 series is low-voltage 3rd-harmonic crystal oscillator module ICs that operates at 1.8V. NPC has developed this product responding with the market demands of "low voltage" that advances with the minuteness in process. This CF5011 series realize the stable 3rd-harmonic oscillation though the operating voltage is as low as 1.8V, by employing the NPC's original Molygate® Process. Only adding a crystal element to CF5011 series, a stable 3rd-harmonic oscillator is ready. Low operating voltage as 1.8V reduces power consumption, heat, and EMI noise from the output clock. This means that the CF5011 series is very suitable for every digital consumer electronics such as multifunction PDA, DSC or STB in which the reduction of current consumption and heat is problem.
NPC has designed the other type of this series that operates the high-frequency upto 160MHz, and the fundamental oscillation upto 40MHz. NPC plans to prepare the plenty types of crystal oscillator module IC with 1.8V operating voltage.
