The SM8580AM is a Real -time Clock IC with 4-bit interface and built-in temperature sensor. Using this SM8580AM, it is possible to realize not only the clock and calendar but the monitoring temperature function.

Also, the clock error correct function realizes the time error adjustment by software, and the compensation of crystal frequency deviation caused by temperature in the output information from this sensor. These functions contribute the high precision for the clock.
